Welcome to the Bayou La Batre Area Chamber of Commerce

The Bayou La Batre Area Chamber of Commerce   is a voluntary organization of the business community. It unites Business, Corporations and Individuals, creating a unique central agency, working to improve business and build a better community. Our membership consists of business people from all facets of the community, including retailers, manufacturers, service organizations, and professionals.

The Chamber is a medium for area business people to network, share information and ideas and collaborate on issues affecting the business community and general well being of the area. Through the monthly activities and events offered, area business people are afforded the opportunity to come together in both business and social settings. The Chamber also serves as the organizational mechanism in bringing together private business and resources to assist the locale, provides a portfolio of services to assist member companies in growing their respective businesses, and offers assistance to firms/individuals  inquiring about the area.

But most important the Chamber is the people. People who realize that through the Chamber they can accomplish collectively what no one can do individually. The strength of the Chamber lies in attracting the greatest number of members, creating a pool of resources from which can be drawn ideas, energy and finances. At the Chamber, we are talking about the future and how we can help shape it. Together we can blend our talents to ensure a better community for all of us.

Monthly Chamber  Meetings

If you're not attending our meetings, you don't know what you are missing! Come and join us the THIRD TUESDAY of each month at noon for good food  as we plan chamber business and activities.  Oyster Farmers Association, Inc. DBA United Seafood Association's (USA) goal is to support and advance our local fishermen and to foster projects and proposals that will enhance and maintain the bounty available of local waters. USO was formed by local fishermen and their families who are dedicated to making Alabama’s seafood industry better than ever by incorporating new technologies with generations of research and knowledge so that a bountiful catch can be a norm instead of an exception in our local waters once again. They are dedicated to preserving, as well as enhancing Alabama’s natural resources so that this industry, which has been an essential function of our community for hundreds of years, will continue to thrive for our children and their children. They also operate as a liaison between local fishermen and governing agencies in order to cultivate ideas and facilitate a positive and thriving relationship.
